This Sunday, despite the bright morning sun and the afternoon heat, we successfully hosted the 31st International Rowing Regatta at Bernardin, Portorož! The event was a thrilling celebration of rowing, camaraderie, and environmental awareness, bringing together more than 20 teams from Slovenia, Italy 🇮🇹, and Croatia 🇭🇷 for a day full of competition and fun! 💪🌞
Our young rowers from VK Piran truly shone, demonstrating their hard work and determination. The team won medals in nearly every category, conquering the ergometer challenges and securing a solid 3rd place overall among all participating clubs! What an incredible achievement—well done, team! 👏🔥
When the wind decided to shuffle our plans 🌬️, we didn’t back down. Instead, we quickly switched to Plan B, shifting to rowing simulator matches! 💻 And guess what? Another big win followed, with our athletes showing their skills and flexibility in adapting to any challenge. 🏅
The regatta wasn’t just about sport; it was about community and sustainability. We were thrilled to have Ri žan Koper Water Supply with us, reminding everyone about the importance of drinking tap water and reducing plastic use. A big thank you to them for bringing drinkers and supporting our eco-friendly mission! 💧
Ambiente Piran kept the crowd entertained by sharing important environmental tips and introducing us to a friendly turtle, all while teaching us about waste sorting and environmental protection. It was both fun and educational! ♻️
Morigenos Society also joined in, sharing fascinating facts about the dolphins that inhabit our beautiful sea. It was a great opportunity to learn more about the marine life we’re working to protect. 🐬
And of course, no event is complete without some delicious treats! Homemade cookies, pancakes, and a fantastic atmosphere made the day even more special. 🍪🥞☕💙
Once again, we were reminded that Nature always presents us with challenges—but we know how to face them with skill and unity. 🌿🌊
