Erasmus+ KEYS: Keeping Our Generation in Sports Begins in Italy

Event

This Sunday, January 12th, the Rowing Club Adriatico Fano will be buzzing with energy as we host the Italian launch of the Erasmus+ KEYS project. Starting at 10 AM, this exciting event marks the beginning of a journey dedicated to keeping our generation in sports and fostering healthier, more sustainable athletic practices.

A Day Focused on Prevention and Performance

The event will feature a “test battery” day, with the participation of expert physiotherapists and kinesiologists from Slovenia. These specialists will focus on injury prevention, conducting assessments and crafting personalized prevention programs tailored to our young athletes. Their expertise ensures that our rowers not only perform at their best but also maintain their physical health for the long run.

More Than Just an Event

The KEYS project isn’t just about one day – it’s part of a broader initiative aimed at engaging both athletes and their parents. Key highlights of the project include:

  • A summer camp in 2025 and a winter camp in 2026 in Slovenia, providing unique opportunities for learning, growth, and camaraderie.
  • The acquisition of stroke counters to enhance training sessions, offering precise data to improve technique and performance.

These efforts underscore our commitment to developing not only skilled athletes but also well-rounded individuals who are equipped to thrive in and out of sports.

Why KEYS Matters

The KEYS project is rooted in a simple but powerful mission: to keep young people engaged in sports. By addressing challenges like injury prevention and emphasizing long-term well-being, we’re creating a supportive environment where athletes can pursue their passion sustainably.
